Jumhuri Mudara: local source from Daikundi province report that the Taliban intelligence agency arrested two former military personnel, Mohammad Ali, and Mohammad Amin, who are brothers, in the Kata-Sang village of Shahristan distract, Daikundi province, yesterday.
According to sources, the two brothers were engaged in a public labor effort to build a road between the Shahristan and Mairamor, Daikundi.
It is said that Samad Shirzad was arrested yesterday afternoon at a market named Chaprasak by Taliban intelligence forces and taken to an unknown location.
Sources indicated that Samad Shirzad had no government or military position in the past and was living a normal civilian life.
There is still no information about the fate of these three detainees or their whereabouts.
Reports suggests that in recent times, the Taliban have increased the arrests of civilians, former government employees, social and civil activists, women and girls.
According to sources, Taliban forces raid the homes of former military personnel or their relatives at night, forcing them-through arrest and torture – either to provide weapons to the Taliban or pay the equivalent cost.
