Taliban shut down Tasaoud private school in Bamyan province

Jumhuri Mudara: In a shocking move, the Taliban have shut down a private school for orphaned children and unprivileged families in Bamyan.

Local sources from Bamyan report that the school, named Tasaoud, which was operating in the Mulla Ghulam area in the center of Bmyan province, was closed by direct order of the Taliban governor.

According to the sources, Taliban forces stormed Tasaoud school on Saturday this week and shut it down.

Local Taliban officials in Bamyan have not provided any explanation for the closure of the school.

Reports indicate that the Taliban's members forcibly entered the school, destroyed its equipment and facilities, beat the staff, and humiliated the students.

It is noteworthy that the financial expenses of Tasaoud school were covered by donation from the public, civil activists, and some Afghan citizens living abroad.

Sources say that by the closure of this school, dozens of orphaned children and unprivileged families have been deprived of education, causing great concern among local residents.

Bamyan is one of the most underprivileged regions of Afghanistan, where the few government schools are located far apart, and a significant portion of educational needs is met by private schools.

Tasaoud school was established in 2014 for orphaned children and underprivileged families and had at least 1,300 students receiving education.
