Jumhuri Mudara: Alison Davidian, the Representative of Women Department in United Nation for Afghanistan, met with number of businesswomen and female journalists in Jalalabad on (Tuesday, May 30, 2024).

Mrs. Davidian, talked with female journalists in Jalalabad about ways to support their activities in the current situation and added that female journalists and businesswomen need financial and technical supports for their activities in the country.

According to human rights organization, in the past three years, the Taliban has issued more the 50 restrictive decrees on Afghan women which all are systematic discrimination against women. But the Taliban claim that women in the country have more access to their rights than ever before.

The UN Women's Department said on page X that Mrs. Davidian had discussed ways to support their activities in the current situation with female journalists and businesswomen in Jalalabad, and according to a post from the UN Women's Department on page X, businessmen have asked the organization to use female-led businesses and access to more businesswomen.
