JUMHURI MUDARA: Local sources from the city of Nili, the capital of Daikundi province, reported that Taliban officials from the Department of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice have inspected public and private health centers in the city.
Sources have stated that the purpose of this inspection and supervision of health centers was to enforce the Taliban's Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice law.
According to the sources, Taliban officials inspected 40 private and public health centers in Nili and issued certain recommendations.
It is said that the officials instructed the administrators of hospitals and health centers in Nili to "segregate" the workspaces of men and women.
They also demanded that health workers in Nili align their appearance and conduct with traditional customs.
Additionally, Taliban officials instructed health center staff in Nili to perform their prayers in congregation.
The Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice law was recently ratified by the Taliban and is reportedly being implemented nationwide.
This law imposes strict limitations on the lives of Afghan citizens, particularly women.
