The media outlet "AVA" reports that Julia Parsi, one of Afghanistan's women's rights activists, who has been advocating for the rights of women and fighting against the deprivation of women's rights under Taliban rule, has been nominated for the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in Human Rights by a human rights organization called "Freedom Now."

Julia Parsi has been selected among 10 other women for the "Martin Ennals Award" for Human Rights, according to a statement released by the Freedom Now Organization on Friday night, April 25, 2024.

It is worth noting that the "Martin Ennals Award" is annually awarded to one of the human rights defenders who have been active in the fight against human rights violations.
